A popular online guide showcasing the best of regional New South Wales has entered a new chapter, with REGGIE officially changing hands.
Founded by Armidale’s Steph Wanless as the digital successor to the print publication FOUND Regional, REGGIE has been acquired by regional designer and marketer Elle Beavis, who has vowed to continue promoting country communities and businesses.
Since its launch, REGGIE has become a well-known online guide for both locals and visitors, highlighting places to eat, drink, stay and explore across the New England, Waterfall Way, Coffs Coast and beyond.
Wanless said building the platform had always been about helping regional communities thrive.
“It has been a wonderfully wild ride building REGGIE from the ground up,” she said.
“My goal with FOUND Regional and subsequently REGGIE was always to help our region thrive by connecting the people to the businesses and the businesses to the people.”
She said she was proud of what the platform had achieved and confident it would continue to grow under its new owner.
“I know that REGGIE is in the best possible hands with Elle to take it into its next chapter,” she said.
Beavis, who was born and raised in regional NSW, brings experience working with businesses across agriculture, hospitality and the startup sector through her background in graphic design and marketing.
She said she was excited to continue the platform’s mission of celebrating regional communities.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be taking the reins of such a beloved platform,” Ms Beavis said.
“I’m looking forward to continuing REGGIE’s mission of showcasing the vibrancy of regional NSW.”
While ownership has changed, REGGIE’s focus will remain the same, continuing to uncover hidden gems, local events, accommodation, cafés, restaurants and experiences throughout regional New South Wales.
The transition marks the next stage for the home-grown platform, which has built a loyal following by championing the people, businesses and destinations that make country NSW unique.
