Police have released CCTV footage of a vehicle as investigations continue into a serious assault in Port Macquarie late last year.
Emergency services were called to the corner of Buller and Hollingsworth streets about 10.20pm on Wednesday 12 November 2025, following reports a man had been assaulted.
Police allege the 45-year-old man was walking along Buller Street when occupants of a passing car began throwing objects at him.
A verbal altercation followed before a man exited the vehicle and allegedly assaulted him. The group then left the scene in the vehicle a short time later.
The injured man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital, and later transferred to Sydney Eye Hospital for treatment of head and facial injuries. He has since been discharged.
A crime scene was established, and detectives from Mid North Coast Police District commenced an investigation.
As part of ongoing inquiries, police have released CCTV of a silver Kia Rio hatchback, believed to have Queensland registration, seen in the area at the time.
Investigators are seeking to speak with the occupants of the vehicle, who may be able to assist with inquiries.
Anyone with information or who can identify the vehicle is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
