Community invited to celebrate 75 years of Port Macquarie Library Service

The community is invited to celebrate 75 years of the Port Macquarie Library Service at a free open day on Saturday, 25 July, from 10am to 1pm.

The milestone event will celebrate 75 years of stories, learning and community connection, while recognising the valuable contributions residents have made to the library service over the decades.

Visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy a range of free activities, including a welcome address, birthday cake and a cuppa, a special Storytime, technology demonstrations, a historical photo exhibition, behind-the-scenes processing demonstrations, and the opportunity to explore the mobile library van.

The event also offers the chance to learn more about the library’s history, collections, services and digital resources, while meeting library staff and discovering everything the service has to offer.

The celebrations begin with a welcome address and birthday cake at 10 am, followed by a special Storytime and sausage sizzle from 10:30 am.

Everyone is welcome, with activities designed to appeal to all ages.
