Veterans’ organisations across the Lismore electorate are being encouraged to apply for a share of $205,000 through the NSW Government’s 2026 Veteran Community Grants Program.
Lismore MP Janelle Saffin said this year’s program includes a new Infrastructure and Equipment category aimed at helping organisations improve facilities and equipment used to support veterans and their families.
“The new category will support projects such as minor building repairs, equipment upgrades, lighting improvements, storage solutions, marquees and Automated External Defibrillators,” Saffin said.
Funding is available across four categories covering local history, heritage and education; public commemorative events and spaces; support for members of the NSW veteran community; and infrastructure and equipment.
Organisations can apply for grants of up to $3,000 for projects covering history and education, commemorations or veteran support.
Grants of up to $10,000 are available under the new infrastructure and equipment category.
Applicants are encouraged to review the program guidelines before submitting an online application through the Veteran Community Grants Program portal.
Applications close at 5pm on Wednesday, 11 November 2026.
Successful applicants are expected to be announced in late January 2027.
