Bellingen’s Brooke Roberts has been named RFBI’s 2026 Mentor of the Year for her work supporting and developing colleagues in aged care.
Roberts, from RFBI Bellingen Masonic Village, received the award in recognition of her commitment to mentoring staff and helping build a positive and supportive workplace culture.
RFBI said Roberts had demonstrated a strong commitment to helping team members build their confidence, capability and professional skills, supporting them to deliver quality care to residents.
The award also recognises her work guiding and encouraging colleagues and creating an environment where staff feel valued and supported.
“We are incredibly proud of Brooke for receiving this well-deserved recognition,” said Jason D’Onforio, General Manager of RFBI Bellingen Masonic Village.
“Brooke’s commitment to supporting and developing her colleagues has made a significant impact on our team and contributes to the high-quality care we provide to residents every day.
“She leads by example and embodies the values that make RFBI such a special organisation.”
RFBI said the award reflected Ms Roberts’ dedication as a mentor and the organisation’s focus on leadership, professional development and standards of care.
Roberts was announced as the winner at RFBI’s Showcase Awards at Doltone House Hyde Park on Tuesday, September 22.
Staff, volunteers and supporters from across RFBI attended the event, which recognised achievements in aged care, retirement living and community services.
