A man has been arrested as homicide detectives investigate the deaths of two men found at the same property north of Grafton.
Police were first called to a home on Summerland Way at Gurranang, about 25 kilometres north of Grafton, around 3pm on Sunday, September 13.
The body of a 79-year-old man was found inside the home, prompting officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District to establish a crime scene and begin an investigation.
Police returned to the property about 3:40pm on Monday, September 28, as part of ongoing inquiries into the man’s death.
During the visit, officers found the body of another man inside a shed.
He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be 59.
Detectives established another crime scene and, with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, formed Strike Force Faneel to investigate both deaths.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at a Grafton hospital about 12:20pm on Tuesday, September 29, following further inquiries.
He was taken to Grafton Police Station as the investigation continued.
