Ballina Shire Council will hold two free Caravan Safety Workshops for caravan owners on Thursday, 26 March 2026.

Road Safety Officer Helen Carpenter, Ballina Shire Council/Transport for NSW, said the sessions were open to both experienced and first-time caravan owners.

“Whether you are an experienced caravan tower or new to the game, come along to hear from the experts, pick up practical tips and have your questions answered,” Ms Carpenter said.

The workshops will cover the safe loading and towing of caravans, with information, demonstrations and practical guidance to help motorists prepare for their next trip.

The sessions will be held in the Gawandii Room at Ballina Surf Club:

  • Session 1: 9.30am–11.30am
  • Session 2: 1pm–3pm

Each session will run for approximately 1.5 hours and is limited to 50 participants. Attendees are asked not to bring their own caravan.

For more information, contact Ms Carpenter on 1300 864 444 or email council@ballina.nsw.gov.au.
