Southern Cross University will celebrate 20 years of its Preparing for Success Program (PSP) with a special event at its Lismore campus on Monday 13 April.

Run by SCU College, the free pathway program has helped more than 6,500 students from diverse backgrounds transition into university study and careers since 2006.

The 20 Years of Preparing for Success celebration will bring together graduates, staff and community members to recognise alumni achievements and reflect on the program’s impact over two decades.

Independent, peer-reviewed research shows students who complete enabling programs perform at least as well as those entering university through traditional pathways. In 2025, PSP graduates achieved an average GPA of 4.7, compared with 4.6 for other students.

The event will be held from 12.00pm to 1.00pm at the Learning Centre – Library, Southern Cross University, Military Road, East Lismore.
