Community organisations and councils across the Myall Lakes are being encouraged to apply for funding to deliver local events as part of the 2027 NSW Seniors Festival.
Member for Myall Lakes Tanya Thompson said the NSW Seniors Festival Grants Program offered an opportunity to bring communities together while recognising the valuable contributions of older people.
Grants of between $2,000 and $10,000 are available to support a range of community events during the festival, which will run from 1 to 14 March 2027.
Mrs Thompson said the funding would help local organisations create activities that foster connection, inclusion and community participation.
“From Coomba Park to Wingham our local seniors make an incredible contribution to our community every day, and these grants provide an opportunity to bringing people together and celebrate these achievements,” Thompson said.
“Whether it’s a community celebration, health and wellbeing activity, cultural event, educational workshop or recreational program, I encourage organisations across the Myall Lakes to consider applying.”
Applications close at 4pm on Wednesday, 12 August 2026.
