A woman has been charged after allegedly breaching a closure order at a Port Macquarie tobacconist.
Police attended the Horton Street tobacconist on Friday, 14 August, while the premises were subject to a short-term closure order issued by NSW Health.
A 22-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station, where she was charged with three offences:
- Sell tobacco products etc. from closed premises
- Enter closed premises without reasonable excuse
- Possess tobacco 10x commercial quantity and less than 50x commercial quantity.
She was issued a court attendance notice to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday, 30 September.
About 2:40 pm on Wednesday, 19 August, police returned to the tobacconist and allegedly found the same woman inside the store.
She was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station, where she was charged with two counts of enter closed premises without reasonable excuse.
The woman was granted conditional bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday, 30 September.
