Nutrien has partnered with the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) to deliver its 2026 Community Grants Program, offering eligible not-for-profit organisations a share of $250,000 to support projects in rural and regional Australia.
Now in its sixth year, the program offers grants of up to $5,000 to community groups undertaking projects that benefit their local region.
Nutrien Corporate Affairs Advisor Madeleine Muirhead said the program supports grassroots organisations with strong links to the agricultural sector.
“At Nutrien, we have a long-standing commitment to Australian farmers. For them to succeed, they must work alongside communities that are vibrant, resilient and thriving for the long term. This program reinforces that ongoing work,” Muirhead said.
“Over the last five years, we’ve supported more than 260 community projects. This translates to more than $1.25 million in funding for important rural efforts, including programs to engage young Australians in meaningful career pathways, and important small infrastructure projects like maintaining local community hubs.
“Each year we see an incredible array of deserving causes, and in 2026, we expect this to be no different. If Nutrien’s Community Grants Program sounds like something for you, we encourage organisations to read the guidelines on the FRRR website, before checking in with your local Nutrien Branch Manager to have your application endorsed.”
FRRR Head of Granting Jill Karena said the program would fund projects reflecting the different priorities of regional communities.
“We know that no two communities are the same. That is why FRRR and Nutrien are casting the net wide to allow us to invest in the local priorities that really matter from region to region, whatever that may look like,” Karena said.
“From investing in local technology, to street art projects and supporting agricultural careers expos, these grants are making a real difference for the communities that depend on a strong, flourishing agricultural sector.
“Applications are now open and we can’t wait to hear about some of the great ideas for the future, and the work that is already underway to strengthen agriculture across the country.”
Applications for the 2026 Nutrien Community Grants Program are now open and close on Thursday, 6 August 2026. Successful applicants will be announced in October.
