NSW Government provides $20,000 for 2026 Casino Truck Show

The Casino Truck Show has secured $20,000 in NSW Government funding through the 2026–27 Regional Event Fund.

Clarence Nationals MP Richie Williamson announced the funding at the Casino Truck Show Sponsors’ Night on Thursday.

Mick McKinley – Proprietor of Naming Rights Sponsor North Coast Petroleum, Member for Clarence Richie Williamson, Richmond Valley Mayor Robert Mustow, Truck Show Volunteer Committee lead Darren Goodwin, and Richmond Valley Council General Manager – Vaughan Macdonald.

Richmond Valley Council secured the grant through Destination NSW’s Regional Event Fund. The funding will support the delivery and promotion of the annual event, which is being held in Casino this weekend.

Williamson said the funding would help the event continue to attract visitors to the Richmond Valley and acknowledged the work of Richmond Valley Council and the Casino Truck Show Organising Committee.

“The Casino Truck Show is much more than a celebration of Australia’s transport industry. It’s one of the biggest annual events in regional New South Wales and delivers a tremendous economic boost for local businesses, accommodation providers, cafes, restaurants and retailers,” Williamson said.

“This $20,000 funding contribution from the NSW Government will assist Richmond Valley Council and the organising committee in continuing to deliver an event that showcases Casino and the Richmond Valley to visitors from right across Australia.”

Williamson said demand for this year’s event had been strong, with all 550 truck entry positions filled in less than an hour.

“That incredible response demonstrates just how highly regarded the Casino Truck Show has become within the trucking industry,” he said.

“The Friday Night Lights, the spectacular Dawson’s Haulage street parade on Saturday, live entertainment, family activities and the outstanding atmosphere throughout Casino make this an event that appeals to people of all ages, not just trucking enthusiasts.”

Williamson encouraged residents and visitors to attend the event and recognised the contribution of sponsors, volunteers, businesses and community members.

“It was a pleasure to announce this funding at the Sponsors’ Night last night and to acknowledge the tremendous support of the many sponsors, volunteers, businesses and community members whose dedication makes the Casino Truck Show possible each year,” he said.
