A man has been charged after police investigating the alleged theft of a vehicle in Coffs Harbour arrested a 37-year-old early Wednesday morning.
Police allege a Mazda BT-50 was stolen from Howard Street about 5:20 pm on Monday, 31 August.
Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District began investigating and, following inquiries, stopped a man on Harbour Drive about 1am on Wednesday.
Police used a Taser to arrest the 37-year-old before taking him to Coffs Harbour Police Station.
He was charged with taking and driving a conveyance without the consent of the owner, driving with a licence that had been expired for more than two years and possessing a prohibited plant in a small quantity.
The man was refused bail and was due to appear before Bail Division Court 1 on Wednesday.
