Nominations open for North Coast primary health care awards

Winners of the 2025 Healthy North Coast Primary Health Care Excellence Awards

Nominations are open for the 2026 Healthy North Coast Primary Health Care Excellence Awards, recognising individuals and teams making a difference to health care across Northern NSW and the Mid North Coast.

The awards celebrate the work of GPs, nurses, allied health professionals, Aboriginal health workers, pharmacists, administrators, managers, care coordinators and community organisations improving health and wellbeing across the region.

Healthy North Coast CEO Monika Wheeler said the awards provided an opportunity to recognise those delivering better care and health outcomes in their communities.

“There is incredible work happening across primary care on the North Coast, often behind the scenes and without the recognition it deserves. These awards are a chance to celebrate the people and teams who are making a real difference every day.”

Eight individual and four team award categories will recognise excellence across areas including general practice, nursing, innovation, aged care, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, mental health, clinical practice and pharmacy.

Self-nominations are accepted, while colleagues, managers, patients and community members can also nominate individuals or teams they believe deserve recognition.

Nominations close at 11.59pm on Monday, 5 October.

Finalists and award recipients will be recognised at the Primary Health Care Excellence Awards evening at Pacific Bay Resort in Coffs Harbour on Thursday, 26 November.
