North Coast Times Launch Promotion Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

This promotion is conducted by KORE Communication Strategy Research Pty Ltd, operator of New England Times and North Coast Times, ABN 14 655 609 886.

2. Promotion Period

The promotion commences at 9:00am AEDT on [insert start date] and closes at 11:59pm AEDT on 22 March 2026.

Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.

3. Eligibility

Entry is open to residents of New South Wales aged 18 years or over.

Entrants must reside within one of the 13 North Coast local government areas covered by North Coast Times:

  • Ballina Shire Council
  • Bellingen Shire Council
  • Byron Shire Council
  • Clarence Valley Council
  • City of Coffs Harbour
  • Kempsey Shire Council
  • Kyogle Council
  • City of Lismore
  • MidCoast Council
  • Nambucca Valley Council
  • Port Macquarie-Hastings Council
  • Richmond Valley Council
  • Tweed Shire Council

Employees, directors and immediate family members of KORE Communication Strategy Research Pty Ltd are not eligible to enter.

4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must during the Promotion Period:

  1. Complete the official online entry form;
  2. Subscribe to the North Coast Times email list; and
  3. Follow North Coast Times on at least one of the following platforms: Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X or Bluesky.

Additional entries may be earned by sharing a North Coast Times story publicly on social media.

  • Each eligible story shared counts as one additional entry.
  • Shared posts must be publicly visible.
  • Stories must be shared directly from the North Coast Times website or official social accounts.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to verify shared posts.

There is no limit to the number of additional entries via eligible story shares.

Incomplete, automated, bulk or fraudulent entries will be deemed invalid.

5. Prize Details

There are ten (10) prizes available.

Each prize consists of AUD $100.

Total prize pool: AUD $1,000.

Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for other goods or services.

6. Draw Details

The prize draw will take place at:

KORE Communication Strategy Research Pty Ltd, Hardman Close Armidale, New South Wales, Australia

There will be a prize draw conducted each week, with all prizes to be drawn on or before 29 March 2026 at 10:00am AEDT.

The draw will be conducted electronically via random selection from all valid entries received.

This is a game of chance. Skill plays no part in determining the outcome.

7. Winner Notification and Publication

Winners will be notified by email within two (2) business days of the draw.

Winners’ first name and suburb may be published on the North Coast Times website within seven (7) days of the draw.

8. Unclaimed Prize Draw

If a prize remains unclaimed after 7 days from notification, a redraw will take place at the same location at 10:00am AEDT on 7 April 2026.

The redraw winner will be notified by email within two (2) business days.

Should prizes remain unclaimed after 10 April 2026, the Promoter reserves the right to declare the prize forfeit.

9. Privacy

By entering this promotion, entrants consent to the Promoter collecting and using their personal information for:

  • administering the promotion;
  • contacting winners;
  • adding entrants to the North Coast Times email distribution list.

Entrants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

10. Social Media Disclaimer

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X or Bluesky.

Entrants release these platforms from any liability associated with this promotion.

11. General Conditions

The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process.

If this promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the promotion, subject to any written directions from NSW Fair Trading.

The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

12. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded.

Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter excludes all liability for any loss or damage arising in connection with this promotion.
