The Kyogle Gardens Caravan Park is set to reopen this Friday, 14 November, following a major $1.8 million redevelopment.
The upgrade has delivered a suite of new and improved facilities, including:
- 27 powered sites and 10 unpowered sites
- A modern amenities block featuring hot showers, toilets (including an accessible toilet), and laundry facilities
- Sealed internal roads for better access
- Enhanced lighting and drainage
- A dump point for waste disposal
- Landscaping works, including a corridor of native flora
Visitors can now also make bookings via a new online system available through the Visit Kyogle website: visitkyogle.com.au.
Kyogle Mayor Cr Danielle Mulholland welcomed the reopening, describing the caravan park as a key asset for the town and region.
“The Kyogle Local Government Area (LGA) is known for its natural beauty and country hospitality, and the new-look caravan park will make it even easier for travellers to enjoy everything our area has to offer,” Cr Mulholland said.
“Tourism is a vital part of our local economy, and the improved facilities and convenience of the upgraded caravan park will help attract more visitors who will be inclined to stay longer in our area. This in turn will support local businesses and jobs.”
The $1.8 million project was jointly funded by the Australian and New South Wales Governments through the Department of Regional NSW.
