Southern Cross University will highlight a suite of new courses for 2026 as it welcomes more than 5,000 new students across its campuses and online during Orientation Week next week.
The expanded course offerings are designed to address critical workforce needs and create new opportunities for students in regional communities, including Coffs Harbour and the Northern Rivers.
A major addition is the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (Honours), to be delivered in the Northern Rivers, supporting regional veterinary services and strengthening animal health expertise in rural and regional Australia.
The University is also introducing a Master of Engineering, to be offered at the Gold Coast, Perth and Sydney campuses, aimed at developing highly skilled engineers to support infrastructure, technology and sustainability projects nationally.
Several new postgraduate courses will be delivered online, improving access for working professionals and regional students. These include the Master of Management, Graduate Certificate in Small Business Management, Graduate Certificate in Neurodiversity, Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood Education Leadership and Graduate Certificate in Circular Economy.
The new programs complement strong enrolments at the Coffs Harbour campus, where the Master of Nursing (Graduate Entry), Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma of Health and Bachelor of Education remain among the most popular courses for Term 1, 2026.
As part of Orientation Week, Southern Cross University will also launch a partnership with the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Initiative, reinforcing its commitment to inclusion and support for students living with non-visible disabilities.
