ANZAC Day 2026: North Coast service times

North Coast communities will gather this Saturday, April 25, for ANZAC Day services, with dawn commemorations, marches and ceremonies planned from Taree, Kempsey, Port Macquarie, through to the Coffs, Grafton, the Northern Rivers and Tweed.

Thousands are expected to attend across the region, with local RSL sub-branches and community groups again organising a full program of events, ensuring both coastal centres and smaller towns can mark the day.

Dawn services will begin from around 5.30am, followed by marches and mid-morning ceremonies — a tradition that continues to draw widespread community support across the North Coast.

Residents are encouraged to confirm final details locally, as there may be late changes.

MidCoast

  • Old Bar: Dawn service – 5:25am, the grounds near Old Bar Beach Surf Club. March service – 12:00pm, Forming up in front of caravan park and marching down the road beside Old Bar Airstrip, down Ungala Road to Kolang Street.
  • Stroud (Dungog RSL): Dawn service – 5:50am, Stroud Cenotaph, Gloucester Street & Memorial Avenue. March service – 8:30am, Form up at the Cenotaph, Corner Memorial Avenue and Cowper Street
  • Wingham: Dawn service – 5:30am, Wingham Memorial Town Hall, cnr of Queen Street and Isabella Street. March service – 9:15am, Assemble at car park behind Wingham Services Club down Farquar Street Undercover carpark, entering Farquhar Street from Maitland Lane.
  • Forster-Tuncurry: Dawn service – 6:00am, Lone Pine Memorial Park, Tuncurry. March service – 10:30am, Assemble at Parkes Street, Tuncurry and march down Manning Street toward Lone Pine Memorial Park

With large crowds expected at major centres including Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour and Lismore, attendees are encouraged to arrive early, check local road closures and confirm times with their nearest RSL sub-branch.
