Appeal to locate teenage girl missing from Tweed Heads

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from the state’s north.

Rachel Grey, 16, was last seen on Recreation Street, Tweed Heads, about 9am on Tuesday, 14 April.

When she could not be located or contacted, officers from Tweed/Byron Police District were notified and began inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and her family hold concerns for Rachel’s welfare due to her age.

Rachel is described as being of Asian appearance, about 160cm tall, with a thin build and brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with a graphic on the front, blue and black checkered shorts and sandals, and was carrying a black suitcase.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact Tweed Heads Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
