If you’ve ever wanted to perform in an original stage musical, now is your chance.
Auditions are open for Forgotten, a new Australian musical set to premiere across the Northern Rivers in May 2027. The production is seeking singers, dancers and featured performers aged 18 and over to form its founding cast.

Produced by Village Hall Players, Forgotten is the community theatre company’s first original work and its first production to tour beyond Kyogle and surrounding village halls to Lismore and other Northern Rivers locations.
The musical explores themes of fear, doubt, hope and identity through the inner voices of the mind and how they shape relationships and the capacity to love. Its original score draws on contemporary pop, rock and soul influences.
The creative team is looking for performers from a range of backgrounds, including pop, rock, musical theatre and choir. Dancers with experience across contemporary styles are encouraged to audition, while performers who sing, act and dance are particularly sought for the two lead roles.
Forgotten was written by Rex and Marian Forwood. The creative team also includes director Jill Runciman and vocal coach Imogen Wolf, an award-winning vocalist, choir director and instructor at the Northern Rivers Conservatorium.
“Forgotten has been growing for years,” said co-creator Rex Forwood.
“We’ve poured our hearts into creating a story that speaks honestly about love, identity, trauma and hope. Now it’s time to find the performers who will give these characters a voice. Every great show begins with a founding cast, and we’re looking for artists who will help create something from the ground up.”
