New jobs and business opportunities could be created in the Nambucca Valley as the first industrial lots at the long-planned Valla precinct go on the market.
Expressions of interest have opened for Stage One of Valla Industrial, with 14 fully serviced lots ranging from 2,600 to 7,510 square metres available.
Nambucca Valley Council has invested $17 million in enabling infrastructure for the mixed-use precinct, which has been about 25 years in the making.
The industrial development forms part of the wider Valla Urban Growth Area, a master-planned community incorporating residential land, schools and business precincts to support the region’s growing population and economy.
Knight Frank Newcastle and McGrath Nambucca Valley have been appointed to market the Stage One lots, with the agencies expected to target local businesses as well as potential investors and operators from outside the region.
Nambucca Valley Mayor Gary Lee said attracting new industry and employment to the valley was a key objective of the development.
“Today is an extremely exciting day, after 25 years of strategic planning and 13 months of construction, the first industrial lots at Valla are on sale from today,” he said.
“The Knight Frank and McGrath partnership will be the real estate agency selling the Stage One industrial land.
“Knight Frank is an expert in selling commercial real estate across Australia and its team has strong buyer networks in both the Newcastle/Central Coast area and Sydney.
“McGrath also has a great reputation for selling both commercial and residential real estate, both locally and abroad, and its office at Nambucca Heads will be the perfect launch pad for the sales expression of interest.
“I believe this partnership will work hard to attract the right buyers to Valla Industrial and support Council and our government partners in our goal of attracting new industry and jobs to the Nambucca Valley.”
The precinct is positioned near the Pacific Motorway, providing connections to markets in south-east Queensland, Newcastle and Sydney.
Knight Frank Newcastle Partner Commercial Agency Matt Shaw said the development could also provide more options for existing Mid North Coast businesses looking for industrial land.
“Development-ready industrial land has been in very short supply across the Mid North Coast, so we expect Stage One to attract strong interest,” Shaw said.
“The lots have water, sewer, three-phase power and NBN already in the ground, which takes cost, risk and time out of a project for buyers.
“There’s something here for owner-occupiers, trade and logistics operators, and developers alike. Together with McGrath’s local team, we’ll be taking the opportunity to buyers across Knight Frank’s national network.”
McGrath Nambucca Heads sales agent Adam Jones said the release addressed a shortage of modern industrial land available to local businesses.
“Local businesses have had very few options for modern, serviced industrial land in the Nambucca Valley, and Valla Industrial changes that,” Jones said.
“Being based right here in Nambucca Heads, we know the area well, and we’re looking forward to showing buyers the sites and everything the valley has to offer.”
Expressions of interest for Valla Industrial Stage One are open from Thursday, October 1 until Thursday, November 12, 2026.
Interested buyers can register through the Valla Urban Growth Area section of Nambucca Valley Council’s website or contact the appointed selling agents.
