A man has been hospitalised after a stabbing on the state’s Mid North Coast.
About 1.25am on Friday, 2 January 2026, emergency services were called to a service station on Gordon Street, Port Macquarie, following reports of a stabbing.
Officers from the Mid North Coast Police District attended the scene, along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, who treated a 30-year-old man for a stab wound.
He was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A crime scene has been established, and an investigation is underway.
Local traffic diversions are in place, with eastbound lanes on Gordon Street closed between Lake Road and Grant Street, and on Munster Street between Church Street and Gordon Street.
