Families and organisations across the Northern Rivers can now apply for funding through the Our Kids Community Grants program, aimed at supporting children living with special needs and chronic illness.

The grants provide funding for essential equipment and resources designed to improve the quality of life of children and their families.

The program is supported by the James Frizelle Charitable Foundation, which has partnered with Our Kids to assist local children and families across the region.

The Our Kids Community Grants program offers two funding streams — one for individuals and one for community groups.

Funding is available to parents and guardians caring for children with special needs in the Northern Rivers. Community health organisations, health professionals and community groups that support children living with special needs or chronic illness are also eligible to apply.

Successful applicants can receive grants of up to $2,000 to purchase medical equipment and resources.

Our Kids Fundraising Coordinator Rebekka Battista said the support of the James Frizelle Charitable Foundation was important to the program’s success.

“Our Kids is incredibly grateful to the James Frizelle Charitable Foundation for supporting the Our Kids Community Grants program,” Battista said.

“Their support allows us to assist many families caring for children with special needs and chronic health conditions, helping them access equipment that can make a real difference in their day-to-day lives.”

The James Frizelle Charitable Foundation supports initiatives aimed at assisting people in need across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW.
