Goonellabah garden party to raise money for sick Northern Rivers kids

Fashion, fizz, and Melbourne Cup fever will take over Invercauld House in Goonellabah today, all for a cause close to home: keeping sick Northern Rivers children closer to their families.

About 130 guests from across the Northern Rivers, along with local business sponsors and supporters, will attend the annual Our Kids Melbourne Cup Garden Party Luncheon.

Now in its 23rd year, the event has become a much-loved community tradition, bringing together women from across the region for a day of fashion, friendship, fundraising, and Melbourne Cup celebrations.

Money raised goes to paediatric equipment and healthcare initiatives that support local children and families.

“Events like this are a wonderful reminder of what can happen when our community comes together,” said Our Kids Fundraising Coordinator Rebekka Battista.

“This is the perfect opportunity to spoil the ladies in your business while supporting a wonderful cause.

“Every ticket, raffle and donation helps us continue improving healthcare outcomes for children across the Northern Rivers.”

Our Kids is the Northern NSW Local Health District’s children’s health charity, dedicated to improving healthcare for children throughout the Northern Rivers.

Through the generosity of the community, Our Kids has invested millions of dollars into paediatric equipment, education, and services that help keep local children close to home when they need medical care.
