Lismore’s Carols in the Heart line-up revealed

Pink Zinc, the Cath Simes Band, and a stage full of local school students will light up Oakes Oval when Lismore’s Beach and Bush Distributors Carols in the Heart returns on Sunday, 6 December.

Families are invited to sing along to Christmas favourites from 4pm, before a spectacular fireworks finale.

“Carols in the Heart is a fantastic opportunity for families and friends to come together, enjoy great entertainment and celebrate Christmas,” said Lismore City Mayor Steve Krieg.

“It’s wonderful to see so many schools, performers and community groups involved and we’re grateful to Beach and Bush Distributors and everyone helping make this event possible.”

Joining Pink Zinc and the Cath Simes Band will be JC Dance, Powerhouse Performing Arts, and the Northern Rivers Conservatorium.

Students from Summerland Christian College, Richmond River High School, Trinity Catholic College, and St Carthage’s Primary School will also take to the stage.

Naming rights sponsor Beach and Bush Distributors said it was proud to back the event.

“Beach and Bush Distributors Carols in the Heart is all about bringing our community together to celebrate close to home,” said Beach and Bush Distributors Branch Manager Philip Hyde.

“We’re proud to support an event where families can enjoy a great night out, celebrate Christmas and create lasting memories.

“Sponsoring events like this is also a great way for businesses to give back to the community that supports them and help make more of these celebrations possible.”

Carols-goers will also have the chance to win Loving Local Gift Cards as part of council’s Christmas Shop Local campaign, which encourages residents to support businesses across the region.

The upcoming campaign will include a limited-time offer where residents can buy a $50 Loving Local Gift Card and get an extra $50 in value free. Numbers are strictly limited, on a first in, first served basis. Bring a picnic rug and enjoy the evening:
