A woman has died and three other people have been injured after a car crashed into a power pole north-west of Coffs Harbour overnight.
Emergency services were called to Coramba Road at Karangi about 10.45pm on Sunday 17 May 2026 following reports a vehicle had left the roadway and struck a power pole.
Police, firefighters and NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived to find significant damage at the scene, with two occupants trapped inside the vehicle.
A female passenger died at the scene before she could be freed.
Three other occupants, all believed to be in their early 20s, were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus for further treatment.
Police said a second woman suffered leg and pelvic injuries in the crash, while the male driver was undergoing medical assessment and mandatory testing. A second male occupant was also taken to hospital with injuries that are yet to be confirmed.
